Welcome!
I recently completed my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of California, Davis, and currently work as an Associate at Cornerstone Research, providing economic analysis in litigation matters with a focus on health care and the pharmaceutical industry. Both my research and my work in consulting is guided by a desire to bring economic thinking and causal inference to data to inform real-world problems.
My academic work has been funded by organizations including the National Institute on Aging, the Russell Sage Foundation, and the UC-Mexico Initiative. During the 2018-2019 academic year, I worked at National Bureau of Economic Research as a Pre-Doctoral Fellow in Aging and Health Economics. My research has been featured in media outlets including The New York Times and policy briefs for the UC Davis Global Migration Center and Center for Poverty Research and Econofact.
Research Fields
My research is at the intersection of labor and public economics with a focus on immigration, health, and education. I'm interested in using economic methods and causal inference to answer policy-relevant questions and improve decision making.

Personal
I love spending time outside, whether climbing, running, or cycling. I'm certified as an Apprentice Rock Guide through the American Mountain Guides Association, currently serving as climbing co-chair for the MIT Outing Club, and ran my first ultramarathons in 2020. I've been having a blast racing my first cyclocross season with BikeReg/Share Coffee in 2021!
